Downloading the latest IBM Content Navigator Version 3.0.13 2 – Installing Content Navigator 3.0.13 and Case Manager 5.3.3

After the ./configmgr Configuration Manager program is run, we create the new deployment profile, ICN3-0-13Installation, using the File | New Deployment menu item as shown in Figure 13.16:

Figure 13.16: Create the new deployment profile, ICN3-0-13Installation, using the File | New Deployment menu
The Configuration Profile name is entered as shown in Figure 13.17:

After the Next button is selected, we have to select the Web Application Server we are using. IBM supports the IBM WebSphere Application Server and alternatively, the Oracle WebLogic server for use with the IBM Content Navigator web application. We select the installed WebSphere Application Server dropdown option, as illustrated in Figure 13.18:

The IBM Content Navigator will function with either IBM WebSphere Version 8.5.5.15 or higher or IBM WebSphere 9.0 versions. We select version 9.0 as shown in Figure 13.19.
The second web application profile path for AppSrv02 is also selected:

IBM Content Navigator supports several Document Content Management repository products; IBM Content Manager, IBM Content Manager OnDemand (CMOD) and Box.
The IBM FileNet P8 Content Manager repository is selected as shown in Figure 13.20:

After selecting the Next > button, we are prompted to either use the wizard guided installation, or the Advanced option, as shown in Figure 13.21.
We use this Advanced option because we have already configured the IBM Security Directory services LDAP server (ECMUKDEMO77) for the AppSrv02, IBM WebSphere Application server profile to which, we are deploying IBM Content Navigator. This means we need to skip the installation task, Configure the Connection to Your LDAP Server.

Figure 13.21: The Advanced option is used to skip the “Configure the Connection to Your LDAP Server” task.
The following pop-up window notice is displayed as shown in Figure 13.22:

Figure 13.22: The Yes command button is used to confirm we wish to use the Advanced installation option
The list of tasks is now displayed in the order we need to run them, as shown in Figure 13.23:

First, we need to check and ensure we have a working connection to the IBM WebSphere Application Server, AppSrv02 profile, by selecting the File | Edit Profile Properties as shown in Figure 13.24:

Figure 13.24: Check we have a working connection to the IBM WebSphere Application Server, AppSrv02 profile
The wasadm username and password are validated by using the Test Connection button, as shown in Figure 13.25:

The task Update the FileNet P8 Client Connector Files is edited as shown in Figure 13.26.
This task downloads the Jace.jar Java API file from the IBM FileNet P8 Content Engine server, which we have previously deployed to the IBM WebSphere Application Server, AppSrv01 profile. This uses a URL which we set up in the task:

The Run Task command button is selected to run the Update the FileNet P8 Client Connector Files, as shown in Figure 13.27, which will incorporate the latest Jace.jar file into the expanded Content navigator .ear file deployments:
/opt/IBM/ECMClient/configure/CE_API/Jace.jar
/opt/IBM/ECMClient/configure/lib/Jace.jar
/opt/IBM/ECMClient/configure/explodedformat/navigator/WEB-INF/lib/Jace.jar
/opt/IBM/ECMClient/configure/explodedformat/taskManager/taskManagerWeb/WEB-INF/lib/Jace.jar
/opt/IBM/ECMClient/configure/explodedformat/icnSyncWeb/WEB-INF/lib/Jace.jar

Note: The originally supplied Jace.jar is backed up to:/opt/IBM/ECMClient/configure/CE_API_BK/Jace.jar
The Task is prompted to be saved first, before running:
